The paramount person in my life is my wife Ana. We met and married when I was on assignment in Brazil.  She has taught at all grade levels in Brazil and done educational volunteerism since immigrating to the USA. She has also taught me to speak Portuguese with high cultural and business fluency!

After leaving high school, I spent 5 fulfilling years traveling the world with the Marines before I was encouraged by my Squadron XO and family to go back to school.  Helicopter flight systems drove a high curiosity for wanting to learn Engineering.  I went to school on the GI Bill and graduated from University of Illinois with Honors.
